A Little History…

This is the “Official” Blog of “Reclaim America from The Lunatic Fringe!”.

“Reclaim America from The Lunatic Fringe!” originated as a Facebook group founded by Richard O’Neal Emanuel Jr. of  San Angelo, Texas  in December 2009 in direct response to the contentious political climate that arose with the advent of  “The Tea Party”, an ultra right wing conservative activist movement within the Republican Party of The United States of America, in addition to the outrageous conduct by all political affiliations leading up to and during the legislation of the United States Health Care Reform Act as proposed by President Barack H. Obama.

The lack of “Civil Discourse” during this period attracted many fringe elements and/or groups into the mainstream political process, many finding the Tea Party movement accepting of their radical views and agenda.  What was once thought unthinkable, quickly became acceptable politics, and the debate raged on without abatement.

In an effort to express my opinion and growing displeasure at that moment in history, “Reclaim America from The Lunatic Fringe! was conceived, and within days there were already several hundred members.

All are welcome here…whether Democrat, Republican, Independent, Tea Party, or unaffiliated politically…  This is a place to express your views, participate civilly in discussion, and let your voice be heard…. Welcome!
