Bill O’Reilly opened his show Monday night by examining President Obama’s Friday afternoon speech on race and the Trayvon Martin case. O’Reilly began by saying Obama was “correct in addressing the race issue” but then proceeded to hammer the president for failing to address the “real” problems facing the African-American community.”*

Bill O’Reilly is pretty sure he understands “gangsta culture” and problems faced by black people. Except not at all. What did the Fox News blowhard say was to blame for violence and children being born out of wedlock? And why doesn’t he ever bother to double-check his statistics?

tbo‘”When Trayvon Martin was first shot, I said that this could have been my son,’ President Obama told reporters Friday afternoon. ‘Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago.’

In extensive and personal comments concerning last Saturday’s not-guilty verdict for George Zimmerman, the Florida neighborhood watch volunteer who shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon in February 2012, the president said he wanted to add ‘context’ to what’s become an intense national discussion about the case and race relations.”*

President Obama said today that, given demographic trends in Israel and the Palestinian territories, the advancement of military technology, and upheaval in the region, “The only way for Israel to endure and thrive as a Jewish and democratic state is through the realization of an independent and viable Palestine.”

When President Obama got a little down time with his family recently, he also took the time to bring some interesting reading material. Supposedly, according to White House officials speaking on the condition of anonymity, the president removed from a secret compartment inside a White House Abraham Lincoln statute the rumored “President’s Book of Secrets.” Many historians and conspiracy theorists would be surprised to find out that the secret book featured in the movie “National Treasure: Book of Secrets,” actually does exist.

TAMPA — Hollywood heavyweight Clint Eastwood made a scheduled appearance on the GOP convention stage before a welcoming audience Thursday night ahead of Mitt Romney‘s acceptance speech for his party’s presidential nomination.

“I think it may be time for somebody else to come along and solve the problem,” said Eastwood, 82, who already endorsed Romney this month at a campaign fundraiser in Idaho. “When someone does not do the job, you have got to let them go.”
Eastwood remarks were rambling at times and critical of President Obama and Vice President Biden, whom he described as “a kind of grin with a body behind it.”

As Eastwood went on, Hollywood quickly took to Twitter to express their outrage and talk about how puzzled they were by the Dirty Harry star’s actions. “Clint Eastwood is CRAY,” comic Roseanne Barr — herself running for president on the Peace and Freedom Party ticket — tweeted Thursday.

“Clint Eastwood has gone f—in’ nutterbutters yo,” The Voice‘s Adam Levine concurred. “Clint Eastwood was talking to an empty chair at the RNC,” Olivia Munn tweeted to her 300,000-plus followers. “No, that’s not the set up to a joke. It’s not even a joke.”

Added comedian Patton Oswalt via Twitter: “I love you, Clint. I always will. But you changed the theme of the RNC from ‘WE BUILT THIS’ to ‘I CAN’T WATCH THIS.'”

Said Chris Rock: “Clint Eastwood on the phone with Obama now: ‘It all went according to plan, sir.’ #RNC #GOP2012”

As Twitter was ablaze with commentary about Eastwood’s speech, the real Obama himself chimed in with a succinct response: “This seat’s taken,” read a message from the President’s account, along with an image of the Commander in Chief sitting in a chair clearly designated for “The President.”

Republicans Attempt to Remove President Obama from Georgia Ballot

Republicans are attempting to remove Barack Obama from Georgia’s Presidential Ballot in 2012.

Five separate lawsuits have been filed to PREVENT President Obama from being on the 2012 ballot. While their arguments are foolish, it still requires a vigorous defense in the Georgia judicial system.

If successful, Georgia would be the ONLY state to *not* have the President on the November ballot.

Democrats can’t allow our state to be America’s laughing stock. We have to fight these lawsuits, two of which are being represented by a sitting state legislator in the State Capitol.

We are putting together the finest legal team in the state to stop these political tricks. We must defend the President against these attacks that could remove him from the Presidential ballot in November.

We need your help. These lawsuits divert precious resources from our goal of turning Georgia blue in 2012.

Here’s what you can do.

  • If you are financially able, please make a $20 donation to fight to keep President Obama on Georgia’s ballot. This money will be used towards the best legal defense in the state to fight these serious Republican charges.
  • If you are financially able, donate $20 for yourself and $20 for a person unable to donate– a $40 total donation to fight these charges against our President. Your generous donation will cover the cost of someone unemployed or in foreclosure this holiday season.
  • If you are *not* financially able, please send an email of support toattorney@georgiademocrat.org to show how much we appreciate our legal team’s efforts to fight against these serious threats.

Georgia Republicans are pulling their biggest scam yet. In the midst of the holidays, Republicans are conducting a sneak attack on our President and threatening to remove him from the ballot in November.

We can’t let that happen. Will you help our President?
